Today is my second day home. I started my day out heading back to the doctor this morning as the deep aching with the infection on my arm is throbbing so badly and my chest congestion is not clearing. It hurts so bad to cough period and then nothing comes up. Oh how frustrating!! Okay, Ms. Adams (Certified Nurse Practitioner) said I needed on breathing treatments as my chest congestion was turning into pneumonia and she didn't want to see me back in the hospital again. So I got a breathing treatment in her office and they arranged for home health to get me set up with breathing treatments daily. She also gave me an antibiotic for both the chest congestion as well as the infection from my arterial line IV on my right forearm. It hurts deeply and throbs. Sadly after the major surgery I have been through that the IV line infection is the worse pain I am now having!
My sister, Cindy, has arranged for friends and family to bring over food for us. My mom's cousin, Dalinda Marsh, showed up in the afternoon bringing a lovely pot of stew for us and a red velvet cake. Ymm! She also was a previous neighbor of ours so Josh has missed them so and we tried very persistently to sent a puppy home with her as her dog is the father of our puppies. Then a little while later, my Aunt Betty and Doris (Doris is my grandma's sister)
